The adult will:
- Select appropriate literary text
- Explicitly use the terms “author” and “illustrator” along with their definitions
- Credit students as “author” and “illustrator” of their own works (drawings and dictations)
- Provide opportunities to discuss the roles of the author and illustrator in telling the story
